Alpha is the ideal place for ambitious (student) entrepreneurs and young start-up (technology) companies.
In Eindhoven, there is no better place to bring your innovative technology to fruition than in Alpha. Why?
- You undertake in the right environment: the TU/e Campus.
- The housing is very affordable (starting at 191 euros per month) to fit your budget.
- You will be taken care of (mail, internet and waste) so you can focus on growth.
- We provide active support in the hub, such as coaching, business development, and networking for startup funding: at your fingertips.
- Workshops and laboratories on the TU/e Campus, such as in the faculties or in hub Catalyst are within walking distance.
- Each company may conduct business from hub Alpha for a maximum of 4 years.
In short, in Alpha you have affordable housing and a good but basic level of service, in a cool place (TU/e Campus), within the right network, in a stimulating environment, with the right support, so that the growth and success rate of your start-up is the greatest!
The following services and amenities are available to you
- Furnished where possible (use of available furniture = desks and/or chairs and/or tables and/or cabinets (vary by room). Excluding window coverings
- Coffee facilities (paid).
- Pantry on each floor equipped with dishwasher, refrigerator, trash can.
- Internet is available. Internet charges depend on the desired bandwidth and connection, and are not included in the rent.
- For startups related to TU/e, Surfnet is available upon request
- Paid parking on the TU/e Campus. There is also the possibility, based on availability, to rent a private parking space in our parking garage at hub Catalyst.
- Access to offices with private key.
- Reception service from hub Catalyst.
- Parcel service from hub Catalyst (pick up yourself at Lismortel 31).
- Mail service, you have your own mailbox.
- Cleaning of common areas.
- General meeting & meeting space is free in Alpha. Meeting rooms in hub Twinning or Catalyst can be reserved at regular cost.
- Event space with regular events within the community and TU/e campus.
- Incubator facilities through Innovation Lab, also located in Alpha.
- If desired, stay up to date on news and events in the Twice community through the weekly newsletter.
- Wide opening hours.
- We do not offer telephony; you use your own mobile network.
Are you an Alpha entrepreneur?
Alpha is the place for innovative entrepreneurs who are starting their own business based on a technological invention or the application of existing technology. It doesn't matter whether you start from within the TU/e, Fontys, Summa or outside the TU/e Campus. Alpha entrepreneurs are characterized by developing something new and working towards their first real turnover, so that they can grow into STEM entrepreneurs (and perhaps even unicorns). Typically, they work on prototypes and pilots, with the TU/e Campus providing just that stimulating environment. This increases the success rate of your venture. Based on the nature and size of your company, (technological) knowledge, entrepreneurial skills and financial position, together we will see if you fit in Alpha.
