Fontys Engineers Meet & Match [2021]

Goal 

The aim of the event is for companies to get in touch with future Engineers, IT and Logistics talents to fill in an internship or graduate position. Companies and students come into contact with each other by means of a video link. The set-up contains four elements: 

Virtual Speeddates 

During a speed date of 20 minutes, a second-, third- or fourth-year student and a company enter into a conversation together. Prior to the event, both companies and students fill in their own profiles. Companies indicate the type of student they want to talk to. For example, with 2nd year automotive and/or mechanical engineering students. The students indicate which companies they would like to talk to. In this way, companies and students are matched. As a company, you have a maximum of 15 speed date interviews per virtual speed date room with students who match your stated preference. The speed dates are planned in advance so that everyone has a personalised day programme. You can already reserve Thursday 8 April in your agenda, and at your (home) workplace. 

Virtual company presentation 

The event also offers the opportunity to give a virtual presentation of up to 20 minutes to a group of students who choose to be present at the presentation. Interaction with students here is limited due to (possible) group size. The presentation can also be a recorded presentation that is shown here. Interaction is then obviously not possible. 

Virtual "company market 

For all students who do not have the opportunity to have a 1:1 conversation with a company, there is the "company market". Here, companies can talk to small groups of students (maximum 10). Students can ask questions and share information. 

Workshop "How to formulate a good assignment". 

For all participating companies of Fontys Engineers Meet & Match 2021, we offer the possibility to participate in the virtual workshop "How to formulate a good assignment". During this workshop, prior to the event, we will discuss the components of a good internship or graduation assignment. This way, you can be sure that your assignment fits in with the programmes and the students. This may help you to make students even more enthusiastic about your company. 

Who is it for? 

The event is meant for all companies who want to get in touch with students of Fontys University of Applied Sciences Engineering and Fontys University of Applied Sciences Technology and Logistics who are looking for a (graduation) internship. Students from years two, three and four of the following programmes will participate in the speed dates and share their CVs: 

        Automotive (Eindhoven)

        Industrial Product Design (Venlo) 
        Informatics - Software Engineering and Business Informatics (Venlo) 
        Logistics - Logistics Management and Logistics Engineering (Venlo) 
        Mechatronics (Eindhoven and Venlo) 
        Applied Mathematics (Eindhoven) 
        Mechanical Engineering (Eindhoven and Venlo) 
 

Costs 

The costs for participation are 395,- euro (excluding VAT) per virtual speed dating room. Companies can reserve several speed dating rooms. For each room you can indicate in advance with which students you would like to have a 1:1 conversation. For example, you can plan a room for mechatronics students and a room for electrical engineering students. The company presentation, the "company market" and the workshop are optional and included in the price. 

Register

You can register until 1 March 2021. This is a pre-registration and does not oblige you to anything yet. You will then receive an invitation to complete your company profile and indicate your preferences. After that your registration is final and you will receive an invoice.
