Tom Selten graduated from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2018 on the role of students in Technology Transfer and Valorisation. During his studies he was chairman of Solar Team Eindhoven and together with his team won the Solar Challenge in 2015 with Stella Lux, the energy positive family car. This enormous success had a huge impact and boosted many student teams that followed in the slipstream. You could say that the success of his team eventually led to the creation of the company Lightyear. But before fully offering his services to this company, he had one more mission to accomplish at university; improving the conditions for students to innovate and create new businesses. Today Tom is Business Development Lead and Strategic Partnership Manager at Lightyear.
