Last week we read on the nnovation Origins site that Start-ups from this Brainport Eindhoven region managed to get the most EU funding from the Benelux. Great news!
The information comes from the "EIC Accelerator data hub", the database of the European Innovation Council (EIC). This EU pilot supports innovators and small businesses.
Brainport Eindhoven start-ups receive most of the EU funding from the Benelux.
No fewer than thirty-three companies in Eindhoven benefited from this! Among them, Tusti (Catalyst hub) and Smart Photonics located on the TU/e campus. At the High Tech Campus there are 5 startups that received an EU contribution: Intrinsic ID (previously located in hub Beta), Bambi Medical, IBIS Power BV, Spincontrol Gearing BV and Usono.
The purpose of the EIC is to create new markets by financing innovative companies. Since the start of EIC in 2014, they have helped more than four thousand companies. Brainport Eindhoven (one of Twice's shareholders) is a regional partnership between governments, knowledge institutions and the business community. Technology and design are the connecting elements.
Brainport Eindhoven is working on solutions to problems in the areas of health, mobility, energy, food and safety.
