The first speaker of the Salon Event of TEDxEindhoven has been announced. On April 19, Martijn van Greeks will climb the stage. Economist, entrepreneur, business advisor and data analyst. A "driven self-starter", as he describes himself, who co-founded Gimix (located in hub Beta on the High Tech Campus), a start-up focused on data science and artificial intelligence serving medical diagnostics, among other things. "The doctors' toolset," he says, "can be expanded significantly thanks to Artificial Intelligence, the Swiss army knife of healthcare."
But how do you do that? And how do you translate the 'mountain of data' generated via this approach into insights that a doctor can use immediately?

First Salon event 2021
'Embodying Innovation' is the theme of our first Salon Event in 2021. Innovations in healthcare are central during this event. With the help of three experts in the field, you will be taken on a journey through the latest breakthroughs and how they have improved and transformed people's lives over the past century. Artificial intelligence at the service of doctors, personalized healthcare and revolutionary cancer treatment research are just some of the topics the speakers will cover.
The event will also feature a panel of medical professionals who will talk about what it means to innovate in healthcare and reflect on where we will be in 20 years' time.
Last but not least, with us on this ride also a 'Super Nurse', who made the world talk (and made the streets of Amsterdam shine).
Join the (very first) fully virtual event. The event is free to enter (registration required; limited seats available, on a first come, first served basis).
