The Netherlands' top innovation subsidy available again in 2024 with even more budget

On Budget Day, the Budget Memorandum and National Budget were published. This also announced the plans for 2024 for the Netherlands' innovation subsidy: the WBSO. The total available budget will be increased to ensure that enough money remains available to support innovative companies in the Netherlands. There will be 1,446 million in WBSO subsidies available for innovative companies in 2024. Almost one and a half billion euros!

WBSO reduces costs

With the WBSO subsidy, the Dutch government helps companies carry out research and development work by offsetting part of the wage costs and other costs and expenses. Your benefit can amount to as much as €20,000 per R&D employee per year. That's a big saving!
