Stichting Techniekpromotie (hub Alpha) during FIRST LEGO League Benelux final

21 Apr 2021

Getting acquainted with technology cannot start early enough. Stichting Techniekpromotie, located in start-up hub Alpha, has the ultimate goal of the nationally operating Stichting Techniekpromotie to ensure that every child from group 1 can come into contact with science & technology so that they can develop optimally. As a result, the child enlarges his / her world view and has an idea of the role of science and technology in his or her life. They then include that image in the profile and ultimately the choice of education.

To achieve this, the Foundation works in an extensive network and offers attractive technology programs, such as Eureka! Cup, FIRST LEGO League and OO Techniek. In this way, Stichting Techniekpromotie contributes to an increase in technically trained employees and to the Dutch knowledge economy and a society in transition.

Last Saturday, the NOS Jeugdjournaal made an item during the online FIRST LEGO League Benelux final with team KMS Lego best from Catholic Montessori School Bussum (KMS). They proudly told about their made robot. They learned to program for this.

The Technology Promotion Foundation is proud, because they were able to organize the Benelux final again this year. Completely online this time, so a whole new online experience from the studio of NFGD Audiovisual. 38 teams were connected, with experiments from Mad Science Netherlands and a challenge for LEGO Masters 2020 winners Jan and Lola.
