Recently, a number of new interesting companies have started up in our Twice hubs.
Newly established in hub Alpha on the TU/e Campus, LightDrop has developed a unique technology that involves data transfer in an entirely new way. Simply explained, data is transferred through a kind of highly sophisticated QR code on one computer, which can be read by a camera on another computer. The technology works anytime, with or without the Internet, can be installed on existing hardware or mobile devices and is inherently secure because there is literally an air bridge between them. The release of a first version is expected in mid-2022, after which the technology will be developed further.
