Workers and job seekers can apply for a STAP budget of up to €1,000 per year for training and development from March 1, 2022. You can use this subsidy to attend a training, course or education. The subsidy is called STAP. This stands for STimulering Arbeidsmarkt Positie.

With the STAP-budget the government wants to offer workers and job seekers the opportunity to take more control over their own development during their career. STAP budget application
As of March 1, 2022, you can apply for the STAP budget as a worker and job seeker via Stapuwv.nl. This can be done once a year per person. However, there are some conditions. For example, that you are 18 years or older and that you do not yet receive AOW. Also, the training, course or education you want to take must be in the STAP training register. If the application is approved, the amount is paid to the training provider. UWV administers and executes the applications.
Retraining and keeping or changing jobs
